to the Mentoring & Masterclasses programme for the tourism industry.
This is a management training course with a difference. Your staff will gain the practical management skills that your business needs, whilst being away from work for the minimum time. It combines short masterclasses on management tools and techniques with one-to-one mentoring and practical exercises available on the internet.
The programme is affordable to companies of all sizes. The majority of the training cost is subsidised by the London Development Agency (LDA), leaving you to pay only £100 or £200 + VAT per person depending on eligibility.
One of the most pressing issues for the tourism industry in London is high staff turnover. Recent research by the LDA highlighted that one of the main contributory factors to high staff turnover was a lack of management skills amongst supervisors and middle management in the industry. Many supervisors in the industry are promoted on the basis of their technical competence and given responsibility for staff, but have not been helped to develop the required management skills.
The programme has been especially designed by professionals who work in the industry for companies and organisations in the tourism industry to help you retaining members of staff by improving their management skills. Yet the amount of time spent away from work is minimal as the course is structured in short bite-sized pieces.
This is a unique opportunity for all the London hotels and attractions, large and small, to register their members of staff at junior and middle management. Numbers are restricted, so book a place early. The next course starts on 23rd May in Central London.
